The TAEASS502 is the latest “Design and Develop Assessment Tools” unit. It is also the newest addition to the core components of the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
After it became a core unit of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, qualified trainers now need to add the TAEASS502 to their set of training accreditations. This unit supersedes and is equivalent to the TAEASS502B.
The TAEASS502 unit teaches the skills and knowledge required to design and to develop assessment tools used to guide the collection of quality evidence, including their application in formative, summative and recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessment.

Express 1-Days Face-to-Face Workshop – Begin your TAEASS502 course in a 1-day workshop! This is designed to let students commence one of three assessment tasks in a single day, and then given up to 3 months of self-paced study to finish off and submit all assessments for unit completion.

Self-Paced Online Learning – Complete your course work wherever you are around Australia with premium training and support. You have up to 3 months to complete the TAEASS502 unit. We have a continual intake of students on this basis, so you can enrol straight away!

Express 1-Day Face-to-Face Workshop – 8-hour classroom workshop plus up to 102 study hours outside of the classroom are expected from learners with limited training experience; the number of hours can vary depending on your training experience
Self-Paced Online Learning – Up to 110 study hours are expected from learners with limited training experience; the number of hours can vary depending on your training experience
Knowledge Assessment and Case Study (including, but not limited to, portfolio, reports, role plays, and presentations) will be used to assess both Face-to-Face Workshop and Self-Paced Online Learning courses.
