Course Delivery

This course is delivered through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) by Asset College (RTO#31718). It has been specifically designed to assist you with understanding the day-to-day realities of working within the business field.

You will achieve this qualification by undertaking a training program followed by an assessment process. This RPL pathway is a substitute for the standard assessment process for individuals who have gained the same knowledge and skills through their experience rather than through a training program. The process recognizes that experience can be as valuable as undertaking training.

Course Duration: The learners will be given up to 3 months to finish the course. If they are able to spend more time studying, then they will be able to finish the course faster!

What Will you Learn in the Marketing and Communication Course?

If you already have extensive experience in marketing and communications management, then this Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication (BSB61315) is perfect for you. The course will help you gain further skills and knowledge required to provide strategic direction in marketing and communications in your organisation.

Throughout this course, you will learn to design marketing programs, analyse and continually improve existing programs, have advanced technical skills in the field of marketing, and be accountable for your teams outcomes.

Course Outline & Structure

Assessment Methods: Assessment will be conducted through a combination of written or verbal questions, case studies or practical activities, projects based on a real or simulated workplace, and portfolio of evidence which may include: prior qualifications, both accredited and non-accredited; employment history, such as position descriptions and performance appraisals; industry appointments, such as board and committee roles; publications and journals; samples of work and other relevant documents, photos, videos, etc.; and testimonials and other references from verifiable sources.

Each candidate is assessed individually. Asset College’s assessment team will validate the evidence supplied and conduct mapping against the evidence requirements for each unit. Where required, assessors will request additional evidence and provide guidance on suitable types of evidence for the candidate to supply.

The BSB61315 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication is comprised of a total of 12 units (3 cores and 9 electives), which have been carefully selected to ensure they meet the needs of marketing and business communication professionals.

Entry Requirements

Entry to this qualification is limited to those individuals who:

  • Have completed all core units in BSB52415 Diploma of Marketing and Communication
  • Have completed a Diploma qualification in related fields of study and with at least 2 years equivalent relevant full-time workplace experience in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Have completed a Certificate III or IV qualification or in related fields of study and at least 3 years equivalent relevant full-time workplace experience in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Have at least 5 years equivalent relevant full-time workplace experience in a supervisory or management capacity

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

This course is delivered through RPL, to learners who can provide evidence of competency for the units offered within this qualification. This can include any previous formal or informal training and/or previous life or work experience. Simply indicate during your enrolment if you wish to apply for RPL.

If you are deemed a good candidate for RPL for this qualification, a non-refundable 50% deposit will be required to proceed with your RPL. Full payment is required before a certificate is issued.
