How long will it take me to complete each leadership and management qualification?

Certificate IV in Leadership and Management – This course has up to 1040 expected study hours, including Assessment Activities and depending on your existing knowledge and experience.

Certificate IV in Retail Management – To complete the course, a total of up to 1440 study hours is expected from each learner. And since it’s a self-paced course, all learners will be able to finish more quickly if they are able to dedicate more time to study.

Certificate IV in Small Business Management – A total of up to 1440 study hours is expected from each learner to complete the course. However, since it’s self-paced, learners will be able to finish the course more quickly if they are able to dedicate more study time out of their schedule.

Diploma of Leadership and Management – This course has up to 1010 expected study hours, including Assessment Activities and depending on your existing knowledge and experience. To assess your knowledge, you will be asked to complete a Personal Learning Plan Evaluation after you enrol. Upon completion, you will be provided with a training plan that identifies your cohort, taking into account your existing level of knowledge and skill in this vocational area.

Graduate Certificate in Management (Learning) –  Up to 1440 study hours is expected from each learner. Since the course is self-paced, dedicating more time for studying means finishing the course quicker.

Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership – Each learner is expected to devote a total of up to 1440 study hours. The course is self-paced, so spending more time for studying means finishing the course quicker.

What evidence can I submit if I want to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning for a course in leadership management?

If you wish to apply RPL for qualifications in leadership and management, the examples of acceptable evidences are the following:

  1. Course transcripts, statement of attainment, and certificates
  2. References and documentation of your previous work responsibilities
  3. Work samples

To apply, simply indicate on your enrolment form that you wish to receive RPL. An RPL Assessor will contact you to check your eligibility for each unit and explain what you need to submit. The amount of RPL you receive will depend on the evidence you provide and any remaining assessment can be completed through gap training.

Is vocational (work) placement required, and where should I get a placement?

Vocational (work) placement is only required for the Cert IV in Retail Management course.

All students are required to complete Vocational Placement as part of this course to help you develop your skills and knowledge in retail management.

Note: College Australia will assist in finding placement location.
