Because you already hold the BSZ40198 qualification, you may gain credit for up to 7 units. Additionally, many trainers who hold the old BSZ have had significant experience in the training industry and may be eligible to gain Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for anywhere from 0 to all 3 of the remaining units. This means, if you have all of the relevant experience, you may be able to gain your BSZ to TAE upgrade solely through an RPL process.
Note: Students must be able to demonstrate sufficient evidence of currency in training in order to gain the full 7 units of RPL for the BSZ40198 qualification. Where sufficient evidence of currency cannot be demonstrated, additional gap training may be required.
New learners and enrolees for the TAE40110 must successfully submit all assessment requirements on or before 6 September 2017 in order to be eligible to gain this qualification. The TAE40110 will no longer be issued after 5 October 2017 as it will be superseded by the TAE40116. The full TAE40110 course has up to 610 expected study hours depending on the number of units you gain through RPL and the upgrade process, and your training experience.
