The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41412) is comprised of 10 units – 5 core units plus 5 elective units. Many workplaces look for the skills covered in this work health and safety course in someone conducting safety officer duties. Our course elective units have been carefully selected to enable participants to contribute to an organisation’s OH&S systems with confidence.

Core Units:

BSBWHS403A – Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS consultation and participation processes
BSBWHS404A – Contribute to WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control

Other qualifications with some similar units include the Certificate IV in Human Resources or the Certificate IV in Business Administration.

Our Cert IV WHS course design uses a “clustered” approach. This means we have combined our course into just three workbooks: Safety Culture and Compliance; Safety Management Systems; and Safety in Action (instead of 10 separate units). This means you will have only three workbooks to submit to complete your course! By using this “holistic” approach our students are able to study at a good pace because learning and assessment tasks are not duplicated in multiple units.
