The Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety will provide you first-class training and student support while you undertake your training in health and safety in the workplace. It is a fully Nationally Accredited and Nationally Recognised OH&S training course designed to meet the needs of health and safety specialists in both business and industry.
Cert IV OHS Course Units
The Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (BSB41407) is comprised of 9 units – 6 core units plus 3 elective units. This workplace health and safety course is now the minimum requirement for OHS safety officer duties and management in many workplaces and is the course units are designed to enable participants to contribute to an organisation’s OH&S management systems with confidence.
Prerequisites – Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
There are no formal prerequisites for the Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety, however it does require that you have sound language and literacy skills, and basic word processing. You will also need to be able to access a workplace to complete the workplace-based assessments (can be a present workplace or a friend/colleagues and alternative arrangements for those in between work without access to a workplace). To support your studies you will be provided with an OHS safety industry expert trainer, all learning materials, flexible delivery options, and telephone and email support.

The Cert IV in OH&S is offered as either a blended-delivery course or through distance-learning. The blended-delivery course offers a 4 day face-to-face workshop run in many major Australian cities throughout the year. Courses are offered on various dates in many states throughout the year.
