During your studies, you will be required to organise and complete at least 6 hours of practical delivery with a minimum of four ESL (English as a Second Language) students.
The Certificate IV in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) will solidify your knowledge of the English language, including identifying basic grammatical concepts, terminology and traditional meta-language.

Course Clustering: Our Cert IV TESOL course design uses a “clustered” approach. This means we have combined our course into just three workbooks: Knowledge; Design; and Delivery (instead of 5 separate units). This holistic approach means that our students are able to study at a good pace and gain an understanding quicker because learning and assessment tasks are not duplicated across multiple units.
Nominal Hours: There are a total of 214 nominal hours for this course. This equals approximately 4 hours of study per week for the online 12 month course, however you may work at your own pace and complete your course faster if you’d like!
Assessment Methods: Assessment is conducted using a combination of written questions and activities, document gathering, and observation to give you maximum opportunity to develop your English teaching skills and knowledge.
