You must complete a vocational placement in an approved educational environment in order to gain the CHC30213 Certificate III in Education Support. This includes facilities such as:
You need to complete a minimum of 100 hours up to a maximum of 240 hours to fulfill the vocational placement requirement and complete your study. This work placement will allow you to gain practical workplace-based experience and solidify the skills you will learn in your teaching assistant course.

Students may be required to undertake a working with children/police check before completing vocational placement. Any costs associated with completing the required Police Check, Blue Card or Working With Children Check will be shouldered by the student. Students may also need a current first aid certificate prior to placement. The first aid unit is not included in this package, and is to be completed by the student at another provider of the student’s choice.
Note: For students planning to do their vocational placement in Queensland, the National Health and Medical Research Council recommends immunisation for influenza, measles, mumps, rubella (German measles), whooping cough, pertussis, chicken pox (varicella), and hepatitis A.
