What Will you Learn?

The Certificate III in Children’s Services will teach you many facets of child care.  In this child care course you will learn how to identify and respond to children at risk and harm, how to provide care for young children, how to support in the development of, and interact with children, as well as how to provide experiences that support a child’s play and learning.

Additionally, in our Certificate III in Children’s Services you will learn how to ensure children’s health and safety, apply first aid, care for babies, and how to work effectively with families in caring for their child, among a range of other excellent child caring and work-based skills.  Life is too short to not do what you LOVE! Course outline & structure

While undertaking your Certificate III in Children’s Services CHC30708 early child care course we will provide you first-class training and student support while you undertake your training in child care. Some of our children’s services trainers have over 20 years experience in delivering nationally accredited and recognised community training courses designed to meet the needs of students from a broad range of backgrounds.

Course units

The Certificate III in Children’s Services is comprised of 11 core units, and 4 electives. It is Australia’s nationally recognised child care course and is an accredited qualification in child care, and is designed for those interested in becoming a nanny, assistant in a child care centre, playgroup supervisor, family day care worker, or mobile child care assistant.

While undertaking your Certificate III in Children’s Services child care training, you will gain between 80 and 240 hours workplace-based experience to solidify your practical experience and skills in working with children. This childcare course has been specifically designed to develop the knowledge and skills required to work safely and effectively with young children, providing an opportunity for those with a passion for our youth to take a leading role in the child care.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal prerequisites for this qualification, however sound understanding of the English language is preferred.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

RPL is offered to any Learner who can provide evidence of competency for the units offered within this Certificate III in Children’s Services course.  During the enrolment process a potential Learner may complete a checklist and discuss any prior evidence before commencing training to determine if they are eligible for RPL.

Training Schedule

The most effective and popular method of delivery is via distance-learning in the form of self-paced learning.  You will have 12 months to complete the course from your enrolment date through distance learning. There is a continual intake of students on this basis.
