The NEW FNS50210 Diploma of Accounting comprises of 18 units packaged as 9 pre-requisite units, 6 core units, and 3 elective units. This Diploma level Accounting course covers all facets of accounting and provides you with the skills to advance your career in the financial services sector.
One (1) of the required elective units of competency must be selected from the elective bank on the following page, the remaining electives may be selected from the elective bank, other units aligned to Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualifications in the FNS10 Financial Services or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
Elective units must be relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and the qualification level. Units selected from other Training Packages or accredited courses must not duplicate units selected from or available within the FNS10 Financial Services or BSB07 Business Services Training Packages.
You must demonstrate competency in the 9 pre-requisite units which comprise the core from the FNS40610 Certificate IV in Accounting or Completion of the 10 units which comprise the core from the FNS40604 Certificate IV in Accounting. The entry requirement can be met by evidence of equivalent competency to either of the above through recognition of prior learning (RPL).
RPL is offered to any Learner who can provide evidence of competency for the units offered within the qualification. To apply for RPL, simply complete an enrolment form indicating that you would like to apply for full/partial RPL. Once enrolment is confirmed, you will receive a call from your trainer to go through all potential RPL opportunities, before sending through an RPL pack to help with evidence collection. In this way the RPL process is seamless and simple.
The Diploma of Accounting FNS50210 is delivered by the Australian College of Training and Employment (ACTE—Provider No 31455) who will deliver this accounting course and provide your qualification upon completion. You will have 24 months to complete the course from your enrolment date if you are completing your courses through distance learning. ACTE have a continual intake of students on this basis. Courses are offered at various times in many states throughout the year.
