Here is Australia you have to have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (the latest of which is the new TAE40110) to be able to to train and assess any nationally accredited and recognised course here (e.g. Certificate II, Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma etc.), AS WELL AS an equivalent qualification up to the level in the industry you are required to teach in (in your instance Massage Therapy). In answer to you question therefore, you would have to have an equivalent or greater qualification as the one you wish to teach PLUS your Cert IV in Training and Assessment. The Cert IV TAE therefore would be essential for you if your wanted to teach at a private training college or within our TAFE system here in Australia. I hope that answers your question.
