        Hi Sharon,

        Love your ambition!

To be a family day care educator, you do need to be actively working towards, or already have completed, the Certificate III in Children’s Services.

Family Day Care Australia is a great resource for information about starting your own family day care business. This is probably the best site to start learning about what you’ll need to do to get your home care business off the ground.

You should also check the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority website. While it is a little harder to navigate and find the information you need, it is THE government authority on child care regulation in Australia, so it’s handy to know about.

If I can help you out with any more questions, please don’t hesitate to ask :)

        Thanks!
